2) Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you confirm you have permission from a parent/guardian.

3) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective date” above indicates when the latest version applies. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

4) Accounts (if applicable)

If the Service allows account creation:

  • You agree to provide accurate information and keep it updated.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms.

5) Courses, learning content, and access (if applicable)

SkillNet may offer courses, lessons, learning paths, articles, or other materials (“Content”).

  • Access rules: Course access may be time-limited or lifetime depending on what is stated at purchase/enrollment.
  • Updates: We may update or discontinue Content at any time.
  • No guarantee of outcomes: Educational content is provided for learning purposes; we do not guarantee specific results (jobs, certifications, income, or skill level).

6) Purchases, pricing, and payments (if applicable)

If you purchase any course, subscription, or paid feature:

  • Prices and taxes: Prices may change. Taxes may apply depending on your location.
  • Payment processing: Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. We do not typically store full card details.
  • Authorization: By submitting payment details, you authorize the charge and confirm you have the right to use the payment method.

Refund policy (choose one and publish it clearly)

Add your policy here (examples):

  • Option A (common for courses): “Refunds available within 7/14/30 days if less than X percent of the course is completed.”
  • Option B: “All sales are final unless required by law.”
  • Option C (subscriptions): “You can cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period.”

7) Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for illegal, harmful, or fraudulent purposes
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or user accounts
  • Scrape, crawl, or copy the Service in a way that harms performance or violates our rights
  • Upload or transmit malware, spam, or malicious code
  • Harass, abuse, or impersonate others
  • Circumvent paywalls, access controls, or licensing restrictions

We may investigate and take action, including removing content, suspending access, or reporting to authorities where appropriate.

8) User submissions (if the site allows comments, reviews, uploads, etc.)

If you submit content (messages, reviews, comments, files, assignments) (“User Content”):

  • You retain ownership of your User Content.
  • You grant SkillNet a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display your User Content solely to operate and improve the Service.
  • You represent that you have the rights to submit the User Content and that it does not violate laws or third-party rights.

We may remove User Content that violates these Terms.

9) Intellectual property

All Service content (excluding User Content) including text, graphics, logos, videos, course materials, and site design is owned by SkillNet or licensed to SkillNet and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, sell, or create derivative works from our Content unless we give you written permission.

Limited license

We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access and use the Service for your own non-commercial learning purposes (unless otherwise agreed in writing).

10) Third-party services and links

The Service may contain links to third-party sites (including social platforms) or integrate third-party tools (such as email providers, analytics, or payment processors). We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Use them at your own risk.

11) Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy: https://skillnet.demo.linesandpixels.team/privacy-policy/.
By using the Service, you acknowledge you have read it.

12) Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The Service and Content are provided “as is” and “as available.”
  • We make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
  • We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

13) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SkillNet and its officers, employees, partners, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability will be limited to the amount you paid to SkillNet for the Service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim (or USD 100 if you paid nothing), unless a different limit is required by law.

14) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SkillNet from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.

15) Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if we believe you violated these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service, other users, or SkillNet.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive (e.g., IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity).

16) Miscellaneous

  • Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • No waiver: Failure to enforce any right is not a waiver.
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a business transfer.
  • Entire agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement regarding the Service.
